The Wild faeries of the ... glade have a long history of unusal customs. While their more common cousins have moved to the rocky heights with a few trees in sight and vast plains on the horizon, the Wild faeries managed to maintain and deepen their connection with the nature. Long time ago they separated from the main tribes of Fay. Some members of their druidic circle sensed a calling, a cry from distant lands beyond their normal influence. One day they all disappeared. It was rumored that the leader of the wild ones had gone crazy and led their followers to their doom. They were contacted again after hundreds of years. It was the period when the survivors and refugees of the Fayland and the surrounding regions were escaping the Great flood. Specifically the group that moved along the Weeping river and crossed the swamps of ... , discovered them first. The ancestor settlers were welcomed in a foreign land yet it was required of them not to disturb the forest, the rites and the singing of harmony. In the begining it was a miraculous site to see. Instead of trees or flowers, the wild faeries were cultivating fungus, from the glowing mushrooms tall as trees to the spongy red mould beneath their feet. But as the time went on, the newcomers witnessed something far stranger. The wild ones were communing with the environment, it responded to them in an unbelievable way; a few settlers also started to hallucinate, feeling the echoes and sensing vibrations of the soil. And finally they beheld the rite of passage of the unknown wild one volunteer. It was the same night they ventured forth leaving the glade with a few people looking back hearing the chorus of new lives emerging and one ending.
